Sure, the system-based video capture options for the two consoles are already pretty good-I'm definitely going to wear out that Xbox, record that voice command-but it'd be nice to be able to do some sort of rudimentary editing in GTA 5 on consoles.
While Rockstar has stated that "Grand Theft Auto 5 for PC will also feature a video editor designed for advanced movie-making," I hope that PlayStation 4 and Xbox One get similar love.

Hopefully GTA5 on PS4 and Xbox One can remedy that. Remember the first time you pulled off a sick stunt while trying to escape from the fuzz in Grand Theft Auto 3, and bemoaned that the moment was lost without anyone else around to see it? Besides an extremely buggy instant replay system, implemented in the original Xbox's version of San Andreas, we've yet to see something that can save our most insane GTA memories. Video editing for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One I just hope the developer will try to share the love with consoles, perhaps vetting and aiding community members in bringing content to the PS4 and Xbox One, much like Valve did with Left 4 Dead 2's Cold Stream DLC. Sure, many PC games have mods, but Rockstar's series is as much about messing around, causing chaos (aspects significantly enhanced by mods), as it is about serious crime. The community will update the rosters, adjust ratings, create draft classes, replace player portraits, etc. It updates the game to the 2013 season, with graphical updates, roster updates, schedule updates, and more. If you have a pretty good CPU, a controller that works, and you can live without next-gen graphics, the PC version is the best. This is the second release of the FF/FI XIV Mod for Madden NFL 08.
So I guess you have to ask yourself if you're someone who can look past those things while you play a game. Those are personal preferences though that are outside of the QUALITY of the game itself.

Oh, and of course the typical "I can play a console on my couch instead of a computer chair" and "I prefer my huge big screen TV over my PC monitor" type arguments can be included as well. It also includes all of the "little things" that people complain about missing from the next gen version, such as field goal nets, referrees, chain gang, and such like. It includes Hit Stick 2.0, the weapons system, and stuff like that. The gameplay engine is pretty much the same as the PS2/Xbox versions each year. Improve the game, and people will come.Īnd as for the question about how similar or not it is to the console versions, basically the graphics are very similar to the PS2/Xbox version, although if you have a good PC and run it at higher resolutions, it looks VERY nice.
I mean maybe if they put some more effort into it, more people would consider buying it? I can tell you right now I had ZERO intention of buying it for PC until I was told it had wide screen resolutions. But like I said at towards the end of my post, that lack of effort could be one of the REASONS why the PC version doesn't sell as well. I totally agree with you, obviously they're not going to put as much effort into the PC version since it doesn't sell as well.
